Creating your brand

Customers often have dozens or even hundreds of technicians to choose from, so you need to stand out. Your profile headline and URL can help make a customer want to learn more about you and your skills.

1.             Click your name on the menu bar.  to access your profile page.

2.             Move your cursor through the header field until the edit button appears.

3.             Click the Edit button to access the

 box.

A good professional header should be short and informative. For example, if you are certified by Cisco, you might choose “Cisco Certified Engineer.”

4.             Type a profile headline into the Professional Header field.

5.             Click  to save your header and return to the main profile page.

A vanity URL shows up in the user’s address bar when they view your profile. It also is what appears when search engines such as Google index your profile.

6.             Create a vanity URL if desired.

a.     Click  to access the URL field.

b.    Enter a URL in the provided field.

c.     Click  to create the URL.

IMPORTANT

The URL you choose CANNNOT be changed or deleted after you create it, so make sure yours is exactly what you want it to be.

d.    Click  to accept your URL and return to the main profile page.
